Ring

The way of God is like a young man who went to the mall to buy an engagement ring for his beloved.  “I must find just the right ring for my beloved,” he said.  “For she means more than anything in the world to me, more than the world itself!”

And so he came to the first jewelers and shopped their fine selection.  But in that store the young man found no ring suitable for his beloved.  And so he went on to a second jewelers and shopped their fine selection.  But again the young man found no ring suitable for his beloved.

And so he went on to a third jewelers, a fourth, and a fifth.  But still the young man found no ring suitable for his beloved.  Finally, the young man went home, utterly crushed, for it seemed he would never find a ring suitable so to marry the woman he loved.

Back at his house, she tended to him dearly, not knowing his distress, yet soothing his every fear.  And the young man dreamed and dreamed of when he would somehow find just the right ring to marry his beloved.
